Marcin Cecko (b. 1981) an artist working in literature, visual arts and performance. He is the author of three volumes of poetry and a professional advertising photographer. Most recently he has been working on theatre projects with director Krzysztof Garbaczewski. Cecko studied cultural studies and anthropology at Warsaw University. In 2001, with four other Warsaw-based poets he created the "Neolinguistic Manifesto" - an important and widely discussed comment on the perception of written text in the age of electronic media. Cecko has led several experimental music and poetry ensembles, and recently has been presenting his own monologues featuring a fictional anthropologist Robert Mem. His works combine storytelling, poetry, sounds of words, scientific discourse, music and images.
