Magic is a process
that always uses the most advanced technologies at hand. In the Stone Age
that meant fire, fur, bone, and blood; in the Middle Ages, the crucible,
the alembic, and the chalk circle. Today it is images, a thickening web of
images, amounting to a magic circle through which the citizens of this age
have passed, never to return. What a time you chose to be born! – from artist Seth
Price’s introduction to the exhibition.
