There are four chances to see the World Premiere of an orchestral song cycle based on poems by Nobel Laureate Czeslaw Milosz - Milosz Songs for Soprano and Orchestra, composed by John Harbison for soprano Dawn Upshaw on a commission by the New York Philharmonic, and conducted by Robert Spano

In the Philharmonic’s HEAR & NOW Series,
host Steven Stucky and composer John Harbison
will give a personal introduction to Harbison’s Milosz song cycle,
followed by a complete performance with soloist Dawn Upshaw.
