This remarkable performance of a one-hour "theatrical séance" by Poland's acclaimed Teatr KTO, a hit with audiences and critics alike at the 2005 Edinburgh Fringe Theatre Festival, is inspired by the life and dramatic death of Czech writer Bohumil Hrabal. It is a veritable feast of physical theatre performed without a single spoken word: birth, baptism, first holy communion, marriage, and death. Script, music selection, and direction are by Teatr KTO's co-founder and artistic director Jerzy Zon. The New York International Fringe Festival (FringeNYC, August 11-17) is the largest multi-arts festival in North America, offering in total more than 1300performances by groups from all over the world.
