2007 ArtsLink Residencies:
(places ArtsLink Fellows - artists and arts managers from Central/Eastern Europe, Russia and Eurasia - at U.S. arts organizations for five-week residencies)

GRZEGORZ RESKE (THEATRE)
Arts Managers a specialist in festival organization at the Culture Center, a multi-disciplinary municipal venue housed in a former Renaissance monastery in Lublin, Reske is responsible for fundraising, international relations, touring and production of both performance work and visual exhibitions. He has organized performances of well-known US theater groups including Double Edge Theater and Pig Iron Theatre Company. He is interested in seeing new work, learning about festival and event management and observing strategies for international co-productions. MICHAL KURIATA (THEATRE)
from the Lower Silesia province in Poland at the Double Edge Theatre, Ashfield, MA
To support a theater residency and play development utilizing the artist's large-scale puppetry and fire-arts at Double Edge's International Farm Center during the summer of 2007.

LUBA ZAREMBINSKA (THEATRE)
director of the Stacja Szamocin theatre in Szamocin, Poland at the Hand 2 Mouth Theatre, Portland, OR
To support a co-operation between Hand 2 Mouth and Stacja Szamocin Theatre in a production of The Night of the Great Season based on the writing of Bruno Schulz. Learn more on their 2006 collaboration.

BRUCE CHECEFSKY (FILM)
Filmmaker from Cleveland, OH, at the CCA "Zamek Ujazdowski" in Warsaw
To support a collaboration with Polish colleagues Marcin Gizycki, Lukasz Ronduda and others, on a documentary film and bilingual catalogue about the experimental filmmaker Andrzej Pawlowski (1925-1986). The film will premier at Warsaw's Center for Contemporary Art "Zamek Ujazdowski". Learn more about Bruce Checefsky and Andrzej Pawlowski.

BERNADETTE FOX (VISUAL ARTS)
Visual artist from Santa Monica, CA at the Wyspa Art Institute in Gdansk
To support an architectural intervention under the auspices of Wyspa Art Institute utilizing a historic building on the grounds of the Gdansk shipyards, an area undergoing rapid transformation and commercial development.
