The 20th annual New York Jewish Film Festival (January 12-27, 2011), presented by the Jewish Museum and the Film Society of Lincoln Center, showcases a diverse program of narrative features, documentaries, and short films from around the world. This year the Polish Cultural Institute is actively supporting the presentation of Polish productions in its selection:
Pawel Lozinski's Inventory (2010, 8 min) is a short, metaphoric story that deals with memory, identity and the search for traces of the recent past, as an inventory is being conducted at an old Jewish cemetery in Warsaw.
Zuzanna Solakiewicz and Nir Zats' Cabaret Polska (2008, 47 min) is a creative documentary with elements of cabaret. This personal and imaginative reflection on the events of March 1968 and the anti-Semitic action in Poland conducted by the totalitarian government, consists of collage animation, interviews and surreal theatrical scenes.
Ivo Krankowski and Jan Spiewak's 8 Stories That Haven't Changed the World (2010, 35 min) portrays the Jewish pre-WWII world of eight men and women through their memories and photographs, as they reminisce on a time that has forever passed.

The New York Jewish Film Festival is presented by the Jewish Museum and the Film Society of Lincoln Center. The presentation of the Polish documentaries is supported by the Polish Cultural Institute in New York.
