music composed by Stefania de Kenessey
produced by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc.

"I have always been captivated by the form of the operetta which, in my opinion, is one of the most felicitous ever produced by the theater. Operetta in its divine idiocy, in its heavenly sclerosis, in its glorious etherealness, thanks to song, dance, gesture, and mask, seems to me the perfect theater, perfectly theatrical." - Witold Gombrowicz

Eugene Lang College students perform this witty parody that examines themes of personal identity in capitalist and Communist societies. The production will feature legendary theater actors Hanon Reznikov and Judith Malina, protégée of German dramatist Erwin Piscator. Piscator established and led a dramatic workshop in the 1940s at The New School.
