Jacek Luminski, "the father of Polish modern dance", brings his internationally acclaimed Silesian Dance Theater to New York and The Kitchen with a dynamic evocation of the painful search by human beings for honest re-connection with the natural world and with each other. Explosive choreography with its roots in Polish folklore and Hasidic ritual, on a smoke-filled stage, with projections of the human face, opens windows to the soul.

"The dancers tear into space with ferocious power and whiplash speed, qualities that spring from a kinetic force in the choreographer's idiom." - Anna Kisselgoff, The New York Times
