The Polish Cultural Institute is pleased to announce that in observance of the twentieth anniversary of the Communist regime's crackdown on Poland's Solidarity movement, CUNY-TV, the cable station of the City University of New York and one of the city's most highly regarded educational TV stations, is launching - in cooperation with P.C.I. - a major program on Thursday, December 13, 2001: Martial Law in Poland 1981-1983: A Look Back. Starting Thursday at 8 AM, 2PM, and 8PM, with segments repeated several times during the week (see schedule attached), the two-and-a-half-hour program will feature three Polish documentaries never before shown in the U.S., and a panel discussion by Polish and American experts on Polish history and politics.
