EMANUEL RINGELBLUM AND THE HIDDEN ARCHIVE OF THE WARSAW GHETTO

A discussion honoring the opening of the exhibition and the 62nd anniversary of the fall of the Warsaw Ghetto, with a distinguished panel that includes Samuel Kassow, author of a forthcoming biography of Emanuel Ringelblum, Dr. Eleonora Bergman, Deputy Director, Jewish Historical Institute in Warsaw; and Prof. David Biale, Emanuel Ringelblum Professor of Jewish History at UC Davis

EVA HOFFMAN: CONTESTED MEMORY, DIFFICULT HISTORIES

A lecture on the creation and ownership of historical memory by the author of Lost in Translation, After Such Knowledge, and Shtetl, who lectures widely in Europe and the U.S. on cultural and social issues and is currently Visiting Professor at M.I.T.'s Dept. of Foreign Languages and Literature
