On Saturday, May 1st, the day when the European Union celebrates its enlargement with ten new member states - Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovakia, and Slovenia - Brooklyn will celebrate its heritage as the first port of call for many immigrants from Europe. Brooklyn EUphoria invites more than 40 artists from European nations to express their cultural vitality in a day of music, dance, theater, film, video and the visual arts. Co-organized by European consulates and cultural offices in New York, the one-day all-night festival will be presented at BAMcafé and Volume. Admission to all events is free.
