During the current "Gombrowicz Autumn", a multifaceted program of events, performances, exhibitions, and publications in the United States that is part of the international Year of Gombrowicz, commemorating the writer's birth 100 years ago in 1904 and his death 35 years ago in 1969, a dramatic reading of the writer's first play is being performed under the auspices of the Fordham University Playwriting Program and directed by one of its alumni, Aaron Rhyne, a frequent guest director at Fordham.
