Wroclaw Puppet Theatre from Poland performs "The Last Escape," based on the novels of Bruno Schulz, and directed by Aleksander Maksymiak, as part of La MaMa's Puppet Series Festival. A pensioner is closed in by the four walls of his miserable room. He is crushed by loneliness, boredom, the repetition of events. He tries to break through, to escape from the place of death, which his own room has become. There is only one place left, somewhere in the back, at the periphery of his room - a space from another dimension, where memories are gathered.
