Piotr Wyrzykowski aka Peter Style

Born in 1968 in Gdansk, Poland. Graduate at Intermedia Department at Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk, prof. W. Czerwonka. Lives in Gdansk, Poland and Kiev, Ukraine.


He focuses on extended multimedia performance, video and media art. Author of experimental TV programs, video projections, CD-ROM, web projects, audio-visual performances, video art and public spaces mass actions. As a Vj he frequently appears in the clubs over the Europe and regularly performs in Sopot (Poland) and Berlin.

1992 - 1993, member of the "Open Atelier Foundation", former Bath House

1993 - 1995, vice-president of the "Wyspa Progress Foundation",

1995 - cofounder and creative manager of C.U.K.T (Technical Culture Central Office)

1993 Prize of the Sopot State Gallery Director, for the most promising art student, Poland

1994 "Deutscher Videokunstpreis ", ZKM, Karlsruhe, Germany

1995 First Prize at the International Media Festival, "WRO 95", Wroclaw, Poland

1995 Videokunst Forderpreis, for "There is No Body" project, Bremen, Germany

1995 Residency Prize at the Banff Center for the Arts, Champ Libre, Montreal, Kanada

1997 Second Prize at the International Media Festival, "WRO 97", Wroclaw, Poland

1999 Member of the WRO 99 International Media Art Biennale jury.

2001 Visiting Artist at The School of the Art Institut of Chicago

2002 Prize at International Video Art and Shorth Film Festival, "Dreamcatcher", Kiev (with Illia Chichkan)
