KRZYSZTOF KIESLOWSKI'S PHOTOGRAPHS OF THE CITY OF LODZ


The exhibition KRZYSZTOF KIESLOWSKI'S PHOTOGRAPHS OF THE CITY OF LODZ presents photographs taken by the future world-renowned director in the academic year 1965/1966 as an exercise during his studies at the State School of Film, Television, and Theater in Lodz, when he was working on his diploma film FROM THE CITY OF LODZ. The exhibition will be on display in the Walter Reade Theater at Lincoln Center during the retrospective.

All photographs come from the private archive of the late director's wife, Maria Kieslowska. The exhibition was commissioned by the Department of Promotion, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, and curated by the Museum of Cinematography in Lodz.
