kieslowskiAnna Molska, b. 1983, has been studying since 2003 at Warsaw’s Academy of Fine Arts with Grzegorz Kowalski, in his famous “Smithy”(„Kowalnia”), the studio from which emerged the most interesting artists of Poland’s younger generation, who made their debut since the changes of 1989 (Althamer, Zmijewski, Kozyra). Her exhibitions include a solo show Cross-Eyed Perspective at the Galerie Ursula Walbroel in Dusseldorf, Germany, in 2006, and participation in group shows: Under The Skin: New Video From Poland, a program of recent videos curated by Kamil Malinowski, New Museum for Contemporary Art, New York, 2008; 4th Samsung Art Master Competition at the CCA “Zamek Ujazdowski”, 2007 (Second Prize for her film “Tanagrama”); 3rd Samsung Art Master Competition at the Fabryka Trzciny (Honorable Mention for her film “Jesus Loves Me”); and the Polish Exhibition of Drawing, Lazienkowska (both in Warsaw, 2006).
